2017 Capital City Raycom Media Camellia Bowl Christmas Parade

The City of Montgomery is accepting float submissions for the Capital City Raycom Media Camellia Bowl Christmas Parade, scheduled for December 15 at 6:15 p.m. Visit https://cityofmontgomery.seamlessdocs.com/f/Christmas/ for details on how to enter a float in the annual celebration of the holiday season featuring bands, fans and players in town for the 2017 ESPN Raycom Media Camellia Bowl.

“Each year, the creativity, innovation and all-out enthusiasm of the floats and marchers brings a little bit of the North Pole down to Dexter Avenue,” Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange said. “We encourage everyone to join us this year for a celebration of holiday spirit and the pageantry associated with big-time football!”

The annual parade kicks off the holiday season and all of the festivities surrounding the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. Entries are divided into three categories: business, adult and children/youth, allowing all ages a chance to participate. Parade sponsor Sam’s Club will award a cash prize to one entry from each category. All float entries must be submitted by December 8 with a $25 nonrefundable entry fee.

The parade will begin at the steps of the state capitol and will end at Court Square Fountain. Participants can stage their floats prior to the event at the Cramton Bowl.
