AWF Reptile Rendezvous
Get outdoors and enjoy a little hiss and slither at the NaturePlex in Millbrook, Alabama on May 20th! Enjoy snakes, lizards, turtles and so much more with some of our resident reptile experts! Don’t miss the coolest reptiles in the state AND beyond during this special Saturday event! There will be a snakes of Alabama animal encounter, Bullfrog Pond exploration, an exciting creek hike, and a craft station for the kids. If you want to learn more about cool reptiles, local frogs and toads then we have an agenda for you!
Bring the family, stroll through the Discovery Hall, watch a movie in the theater and enjoy a picnic lunch for only $5.00 per person with a $20 maximum per family. You can also enjoy a self-guided hike on the five miles of scenic Alabama Nature Center (ANC) trails, while learning about the fascinating natural history of central Alabama.
9 am-11am & 12 pm-1 pm | Join us at the Radical Reptiles Craft Station to make some awesome arts and crafts!
10 am | Take part in an adventure through ANC’s Riparian forest and Bullfrog Pond in search of Reptiles!
11 am | Learn some fascinating facts about the reptiles that call Alabama home!
12 pm | Get up close with some really cool reptiles, some are even endangered!
11 am to 1 pm | Hotdogs for sale at the NaturePlex
1 pm | Explore the creek in search of snakes! You may even see some venomous snakes on this excursion!
