Galaxy Quest at The Capri
For four years, the crew of the NSEA Protector donned their uniforms and set out on thrilling and often dangerous missions in space - then their show, "Galaxy Quest," was canceled. Twenty years later, the five stars are still in costume, making appearances at sci-fi conventions for cash, as none of them have had success outside of the show. And yes, that does irritate some of the cast members. But if they want the green they have to put up with their passionate fanbase. Unfortunately, some members of the fanbase are aliens who intercepted the transmissions of the show and think the episodes are historical documents. They arrive at a convention and whisk "Commander Peter Quincy Taggart" and his crew into space to help them in their all-too-real war against a deadly adversary. With no script, no director, and no clue about space travel, the actors have to turn in the performances of their lives to save the day.
