Marie Curie - The Courage of Knowledge
Within her marriage to Pierre, Marie was treated as an equal both inside the lab and out. Together, they even win a Nobel prize. After Pierre dies, however, she finds that most consider her Pierre's assistant, if that, and none of her peers take her seriously. Nonetheless, she forges ahead, studying on her own. She gains support from married scientist Paul Langevin, and as the years pass, the two fall in love and embark on an affair. The news comes out just as it is announced Marie will be awarded her own Nobel prize, and she and Paul are swept up in scandal, forcing Marie to ask whether passion and reason can coexist.
