Montgomery is centrally located in the southeast region of the United States, conveniently situated at the intersection of Interstate 85 and Interstate 65. Montgomery is 164 miles southwest of Atlanta, 92 miles south of Birmingham, and 155 miles north of Mobile and the Gulf of Mexico.
Getting here is easy!

By Car
I-65 South from Birmingham, take the Clay Street Exit. Follow Clay Street to Herron Street. Take a left on Herron Street and follow Herron Street to Bibb Street. Take a left on Commerce Street. Follow the street around the tunnel and turn right on Water Street and stop in at the Montgomery Area Visitor Center for a Visitor Guide, trolley tours and help with your itinerary.

I-85 from Atlanta, follow I-85 South to Union Street. Exit at Union Street and follow Union Street to Madison Avenue. Take a left on Madison Avenue and follow Madison Avenue to Commerce Street. Take a Right on Commerce Street and follow the street around the tunnel and take a right on Water Street. Stop in Historic Union Station at the Visitor Center for a visitor guide, trolley tours and help with your itinerary!
