May 19, 2011, Selma, Alabama – Cypress Moon Productions
(www.cypressmoonproduction.com) is holding an open casting call for extras to
appear in the new feature film The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. The film, which
is in pre-production, will be shot in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and
Missouri. Cypress Moon is now considering several sites in and around Selma,
Alabama, which also includes Orrville, Alabama and Maplesville, Alabama.
Men, women, and children ten years of age and up are invited to stop by
The Hampton Inn, located at 2200 West Highland Avenue, Selma, AL 36701-6621,
on Thursday, May 26th, 2011 between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm for their
chance to be chosen for an extra role in the film. All interested parties must
bring their photo, contact information and/or resume. People who are not
available to attend may mail their information to Cypress Moon Studios at
1000 Alabama Avenue, Sheffield, AL 35660. A session for speaking roles will
take place in the near future.
“I am very excited about the possibility of shooting part of
The Story of Bonnie and Clyde in Selma. I worked as the Extras Casting Director
on Blue Sky, starring Jessica Lange and Tommy Lee Jones, and I did the local
and extras casting on Body Snatchers, which were both filmed in Selma.
I grew to love the area, and included it in my first feature film,
When I Find The Ocean, starring Lee Majors, Diane Ladd and Lily Matland Holly.
This would be amazing if we could work it out to shoot part of this film in
Selma,” said Tonya S. Holly, who wrote the original screenplay that she will
direct and produce.
The Story of Bonnie and Clydeis a new adaptation of the classic love story
which tells the thrilling story of the notorious fugitives. Taking place
during the 1930’s Depression, the film follows the exploits of Bonnie Parker
and Clyde Barrow, uncovering many times in their lives that have never before
been seen on the big screen. The film is set to star Hilary Duff as
Bonnie Parker and Kevin Zegers as Clyde Barrow.
