PRESS RELEASE

GOLF DIGEST NAMES RSA’S DR. DAVID G. BRONNER AN ALL-STAR OF PUBLIC GOLF

August 04, 2009

Birmingham, AL – In the August 2009 issue of Golf Digest, the magazine names its list of All-Stars of Public Golf. Like many golf all-star listings, Tiger Woods is first on the list, followed by a who’s who of golf: Lee Trevino, Nancy Lopez, Hale Irwin, Fred Couples and others. The list of a dozen names concludes with Dr. David G. Bronner, CEO of the Retirement Systems of Alabama.

“Dr. David Bronner. Led the development of the largest public golf course project in history, Alabama’s 11-site Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail,” cited Golf Digest.

The vision behind the Trail, Dr. Bronner oversees the Retirement Systems of Alabama and has a passion for great golf. “The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is helping enhance the image of Alabama and has attracted visitors and business investors from around the world,” said Dr. Bronner. “Anytime you are compared to Tiger Woods, Lee Trevino and others for your impact on public golf is quite an honor. Just as rewarding is the “#1 value for golf” ranking by the same publication.” The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail continues to be a tremendous success with 26 courses on 11 sites across Alabama and a collection of eight hotels and resorts.
