TWO NEW LOCAL BUSINESSES OPEN THIS WEEK AT HAMPSTEAD

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – March 1, 2011 – Hampstead is pleased to announce the highly-anticipated opening of two new neighborhood businesses – LEMONGRASS Salon & Spa andPARISH specialty retail shop. Both opening today in Hampstead’s thriving Village Center, visitors now have two new exciting ways to spend the afternoon at Hampstead.

Located adjacent to the Y’s Up at Hampstead fitness center, PARISH offers an eclectic mix of antiques, furniture made with reclaimed materials, upholstery, new furniture, lighting and unique gift and home accessories. Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., PARISH was originally established out of Ashley Gilbreath Interior Design in 2010 to offer a fresh retail complement to Ashley’s already successful interior design business. Ashley and her talented team of designers have been involved in several projects in Hampstead since its opening and believe the new location will serve as a well-received addition to the sustainable community for residents, locals and visitors alike.

Nestled between the Hampstead Branch Library and Millie Ray’s Rolls, LEMONGRASS Salon & Spa offers a variety of services designed to renew both mind and body. Open Tuesday through Friday starting at 10 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and by special appointment, LEMONGRASS specializes in everything from the latest hair color technology and cutting techniques, to skin and nail care and rejuvenating massage therapies. Hampstead visitors will also enjoy an extensive selection of all-natural hair, skin and spa products available for purchase. With more than 20 years experience in the salon and spa industry, LEMONGRASS owner Kathy Shelley owned two salons in the Nashville area and traveled across the country as a platform artist and educator for Paul Mitchell before making the move to Montgomery.
