Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the most famous rock concert in history, the Capri Theatre presents Woodstock Weekend August 14, 15 and 16, featuring a nightly screening of the extended director's cut of the famous documentary. Screenings will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. only. Tickets are $5 for members and $7.00 for non-members. Saturday night, August 15, is Reunion Night. Anyone who graduated between 1968 and 1971, no matter what high school, is welcomed to come the Capri for an unofficial reunion. Attendees can also come dressed for the occasion. Tie-dye and other 60s fashions are welcome. Reunion night also offers an opportunity to see the Capri's new lobby renovations and enjoy a glass of beer or wine, which are now sold at the theatre. Woodstock, the movie, is an intimate documentary of the Woodstock Music & Art Fair held in Bethal, New York August 15 - 18, 1969. From set-up to clean-up, the filmmakers were in the middle of the 200,000 person festival that unexpectedly took place on Max Yasgur's dairy farm. Thirty-two musical acts, from Sha-na-na to Jimi Hendrix performed around the clock for the multitudes who made up one of the largest, and most famous, gatherings in history. Due to the length of the movie, programs listing the approximate times the performers hit the screen will be available for those who only want to watch certain acts during the film. Your ticket stub will allow you in and out access to the theatre during the show.
