Cloverdale-Idlewild Art Trail 2017

The Cloverdale-Idlewild Art Trail is this weekend, Dec. 2 and 3! Check out the Tea Tent activities!

Seven studios in the Cloverdale-Idlewild neighborhood will be open for self-guided tours and holiday sales.  The studios—featuring the work of 17 potters, painters, photographers, jewelry makers, doll makers, and glass blowers—are all within easy walking distance of each other.

Brand new this year, as you visit the artist studios, you can take a break at our Tea Tent for coffee, tea, and snacks in exchange for a Montgomery Area Food Bank donation! This is a Big Tent (think Downton Abby, jumble sales, etc.). The Tea Tent is organized by the Kinzers, with help from other neighbors. Hot drinks and home-baked goodies . . .

Also at the Tea Tent, buy raffle tickets for artwork donated by artists participating in the Art Trail. Winning tickets will be drawn on Sunday at 2 p.m. when the Art Trail ends, and winners who are not present will be notified. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the food bank.

Finally, Heather Hepp, one of our guest artists and a glass blower, will be showing her work at the Tea Tent.

For your food bank donation, you can bring non-perishable food items, or you can donate $$$. Turns out, cash actually feeds more people for the same amount of money because the food bank can buy in bulk. But they definitely welcome canned goods, dried milk, cleaning and hygiene supplies and diapers, and even pet foods (furry friends gotta eat too). Anything non-perishable.
