Journey to Freedom Poetry Workshop

The Mommy Chronicles is collaborating with The Rosa Parks Museum to offer a poetry workshop. The students, ages 12-17, will have the opportunity to gain some useful knowledge about the historical relevance of Juneteenth and the importance of the contemporary commemoration of this day by the reknown Dr. Derryn Moten. Then they will get to create and workshop their very own poems under the guidance of JP Da Poet!

Three students will be selected to present their poems during the Juneteenth Celebration being held in downtown Montgomery on Saturday, June 17, 2017!

The workshop is free but space is limited, so get your child, class or group registered asap.
