MMFA Short Course: Shakespeare Today

Hear from Dr. Susan Willis, dramaturg of Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Dr. Elizabeth Hutcheon, Assistant Professor of English of Huntingdon College, about the myriad ways the works of Shakespeare are relevant today on stage and beyond. Following the sessions focused on the text and performance of Shakespeare’s works, Curator Margaret Lynne Ausfeld will lead a talk about representations of Shakespeare in works of art in the Museum exhibition Boydell Shakespeare Gallery Engravings. 

The short course series will culminate on Tuesday, October 25 with Dr. James and Mabs Seay of the Montgomery Chorale reflecting on and performing music inspired by Shakespeare’s works.
