Montgomery Christmas Tree Lighting

The City of Montgomery will host the official lighting ceremony for the Capital City’s Christmas Tree on November 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Lister Hill Plaza across from City Hall.

Generously donated by Jim Wilson and Associates, the 35 feet tall red cedar was harvested from the Park Crossing neighborhood in Montgomery. Mayor Strange will light the tree at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday. This year, the tree will have a spectacular light display after the initial lighting. Prior to the lighting, the Montgomery Chorale will perform and Santa will be on-hand for photographs. Organizers will provide free cookies, punch and hot chocolate – depending on the temperature.
