Panel Discussion: The Danger of Trying Children as Adults
On October 17, the Alabama Youth Justice Coalition is taking a closer look into how children end up in the adult criminal justice system, and on actions that can be taken to stop that practice. Join AYJC and SPLC in the Ralph Abernathy Auditorium at ASU to listen and ask questions. The panel will be moderated by Christy Cain, Executive Director of Alabama Children First. Panelists include Charlotte Morrison, Senior Staff Attorney at the Equal Justice Initiative, Rick Ward, a youth advocate, and Aylia McKee, Director of the Montgomery Public Defenders.
