Real Talk: Continuing King’s Legacy

In observance of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, the Rosa Parks Museum will be hosting a Real Talk on Continuing King's Legacy.

This forum will feature community members who will give a background on Dr. King, his personal life and beliefs, and how we still practice his teachings today. Our panelists are Wanda Battle from Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church & Parsonage Museum Tours, Dr. Kathryn Tucker from Troy University's History Department, and Sara Wood who will be speaking on economic injustice from Southern Poverty Law Center. The moderator will be Tonya Scott-Williams from The Mommy Chronicles.

If you have any questions, please contact Madeline Burkhardt at mburkhardt@troy.edu or 334.241.8701.

Admission is free.
